Environmental & engineering geology of the Wasatch Front region (UGA-24)

Over the years, the term "environmental geology" has shifted in emphasis from the study of geologic hazards to the study if air, land, and water pollution. The study of geologic hazards is now more commonly considered engineering geology. Today, environmental geologists need to know not only the fundamental principals of geology and hydrology, but organic and inorganic chemistry, occupational health and safety, and environmental laws and regulations issued by former and newly established federal, stat, county, and local agencies.
Papers on both environmental and engineering geology are included in this volume. The current definition of the Wasatch Front Region is similar to that used in 1971, extending from Brigham City to Nephi, but includes more area to the east and west.
