Interim Geologic Map of the Bonneville Salt Flats and east part of the Wendover 30' x 60' quadrangles, Tooele County, Utah, northeast part - year 1 (OFR-692)

The quadrangles straddle the Interstate 80 corridor from Wendover to Aragonite. The map area is in the eastern Basin and Range Province, and includes mountain ranges, smaller hills, and intervening valleys on the east and west, and spans the Great Salt Lake Desert in the central part. This map (plate 1) shows the first year of a multi-year project to map the geology of the Bonneville Salt Flats quadrangle and east Wendover strip at an intermediate scale (1:62,500). The accompanying map explanation (booklet and plate 2) includes geologic unit descriptions, figures, tables, mapping sources, geologic units, correlation charts, lithologic columns, and geologic symbols.
