The Allens Ranch quadrangle is just north of the important volcanic rock covered East Tintic mining district of central Utah. Details of the structural deformation of Paleozoic rocks, so important in the covered East Tintic district, and characteristics of fringe-zone wall rock alteration in these rocks, are well expressed in the Allens Ranch quadrangle. An earlier preliminary map is updated by additional details of structure, stratigraphy, volcanic rocks, and wall rock alteration. Information in this publication includes text of the geologic history of the quadrangle and a cross-section.
