Large mines in Utah 2008 (OFR-515)
By: R. L. Bon and S. I. Wakefield, compilers
The information in this table is from the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining. Large Mines are those having more than five acres of disturbance at a time. Coal mines are included as they are considered Large Mines. Please note that an Active Mine (ACT) in the STATUS designation does not necessarily indicate current production. Mines are listed alphabetically by county. Some proposed Large Mines may be operating under a Small Mine permit. The map name for each mine is shown in bold. Some mine names have been modified for convenience.
