Map of recharge and discharge areas for the principal valley-fill aquifer, Sanpete Valley, Sanpete County, Utah (M-174)

The most important source of drinking water in Sanpete County is ground water from the principal valley-fill aquifer in Sanpete Valley. In this study we mapped recharge and discharge areas for the principal aquifer to aid in management of potential contaminant sources to help protect the quality of ground water.

The purpose of this study is to help state and local government officials and local residents protect the quality of ground water in Sanpete Valley by defining areas where ground-water aquifers are vulnerable to contamination.
