Great Salt Lake: an overview of change
Edited By: J. W. Gwynn
This volume brings together multi-disciplinary articles on the history, scientific research, artistic aspects, management, development, utilization, and other subjects related to Great Salt Lake and its extended environs including the Bonneville Salt Flats. This volume is intended to be: (1) a valuable reference for those managing the lake and planning for its future, (2) a credible springboard for future, lake-related research and information volumes, and (3) an up-to-date reference for all who are interested in Great Salt Lake.
Update: For more updated scientific information, check out our newest Great Salt Lake publication, released in 2022: Commonly Asked Questions About Utah’s Great Salt Lake and Ancient Lake Bonneville (PI-104). "In October 2021, the lake reached its lowest surface elevation since records began in 1847. This 2021 low-level record was broken less than a year later in early July 2022. This second edition updates information on many of the answers to the commonly asked questions and presents a few new questions that were not pertinent to the lake decades ago but are asked today."
