Atlas of Major Rocky Mountain Gas Reservoirs

Application of stratigraphic concepts to selected gas-producing intervals in the Rocky Mountian region and the Permian Basin, including the Mississippian and Creatceous of the Rockies and the Permian of the Permian Basin:

• Sixty-six major gas plays in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming; each described and illustrated with maps, typical logs, cross sections, etc.
• Descriptions and geologic/engineering data for 861 reservoirs that have produced more than 5 BCF of gas.
• Special sections on coalbed methane and low-BTU gases.
• Chapter on stratigraphic concepts provides a regional sequence-stratigraphic framework for selected geologic intervals of regional interest to the gas industry.
• Chaper on engineering analysis presents methods used in analyzing different types of Rocky Mountain gas reservoirs and summarizes pipeline systems, capacities, supplies, and demand in the Rocky Mountain Region.
• Computer database (floppy disk or CD-ROM) includes geologic, engineering, and production data for all 861 reservoirs and a bibliography of sequence-stratigraphy references (selected references are annotated).
• Over 200 17 x 22" pages, 10 colored plates on CD-ROM of database of reservoirs and references to stratigraphic concepts).
