Ancient Ones

Ancient Ones is a short story inspired by the YouTube channel Desert Drifter. Set in the remote cliff dwellings of the American Southwest during the time of the Ancestral Puebloans, it follows a boy and girl who leave their overpopulated community to settle a distant canyon ledge. Told in spare, poetic prose, the story explores survival, ancestral memory, and the quiet founding of home in a world shaped by earth, sky, and stone.
