Lacustrine and deltaic sediments were deposited in late Pleistocene Lake Bonneville (30,000 to 13,000 years ago). During and following the regression, the Jordan River and other streams incised into Lake Bonneville deposits forming Holocene alluvial channels, which have exposed the Bonneville deposits and in places the pre-Bonneville deposits, and depositing Holocene floodplain and alluvial-fan sediments.
